Mr. Foley is a seasoned real estate professional well versed in all facets of ground up real estate development and strategic repositioning of assets, including workout management, leasing, sales, land assemblage, governmental entitlement, planning, finance, design, marketing, construction, asset management and investment sales.
Mr. Foley recently oversaw retail and office development for the McBride Cohen Company, including curating, leasing, and administering retail programs for the award-winning Point Ruston Waterfront Development, a $1.4 billion dollar mixed-use, resort inspired, urban village in Tacoma and Ruston, Washington.
Prior to this, Mr. Foley owned and operated commercial real-estate development companies in the U.S. and Mexico. These including MDF Group, a company providing development, asset management and consulting services in the Western U.S. and Mazatlán, Sinaloa Mexico, and Mexico Retail Properties (MRP) in Mexico City, Mexico, now one of Mexico’s largest shopping center owners and developers.
During his active management tenure at MRP, Mr. Foley was the In-country Principal serving as MRP’s Chief Development Officer. He participated in the initial equity raise of $225 million dollars (Sam Zell, CALSTERs, Singapore Sovereign Wealth Fund (GIC), Colorado PERA), established the company’s headquarters in Mexico City, built the Mexican development team and launched the construction of the company’s first 11 Shopping Centers.
Other notable roles included Chief Development Officer/EVP of Goldberg Property Associates, an acquired subsidiary of publicly traded JDN Realty REIT (later DDR), developing over 2.7 million square feet of shopping Centers in Denver and the Intermountain West.
Mr. Foley attended the Colorado College and the University of Colorado at Boulder where he majored in International Business. He is a member of the California Business Properties Association (CBPA), the Southern California Government Relations Co-Chair and Washington State Chair for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is currently serving on a Development Advisory Board for the Westin Resort and Residences at Diamond Beach Mazatlán.
